Chris and I were fooling around making a video for EditRED.com. Though I don't appear in it physically you will get to see my natural talent for special effects. Going by the way I created true to life blood splatter it could be time for a career change...

Alan,
All your writings are uniquely powerful. You have an uncanny insight into the most unusual places of all, mind and body.
I’ve read all the selections you posted online from Mop Men. They are captivating and eerie. I am certain you’ll have success with that book. Nowadays, most people love such true-to-life thrillers. Therefore, methinks you are a top notch ‘original’ writer.
Can’t help but wonder, how the heck did you come up with that idea, and then act on it? You’ve got real chutzpah kiddoe!
However, there is a downside to this sort of story-telling. For example, just like your friend Sophie Dupont’s 2009 paintings, the faces of the dead people remain blank and their bodies are dangling in the air like ropes. How ironic!
I came away, feeling like your work was left unfinished. E.g., I wondered ‘who’ these dead people were, ‘what’ did they do for a living, and ‘why’ they died in such a cruel way? You answered the questions of ‘where’ and ‘when’ very vividly, but the subject matter was left famished, because the moral questions were left untouched except briefly. Despite all this, it’s a wonderful work, for I am sure of that, and I’ll be buying it soon!
That’s my two cents on the book. Hope its helpful. Best regards.
